HC Deb 01 November 1948 vol 457 c493
9. Mr. Keeling

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has now received any information either from the British Mission in Greece or from the United Nations Special Committee in the Balkans about participation by Yugoslav soldiers in the fighting inside Greece.

Mr. Mayhew

Yes, Sir. The United Nations Special Committee on the Balkans have considered the reports made by observer groups on the Greco-Yugoslav incident of 8th September, and have concluded that "there was no evidence that either Greek or Yugoslav Governments planned a deliberate incursion into the territory of their neighbour."
