HC Deb 11 May 1948 vol 450 c1948
25. Sir R. Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for War what arrangements have been made to give assistance to county cadet forces to arrange for camps; and if full facilities as regards catering, tentage, and other amenities will be made available to county territorial associations by Commands for these purposes.

Mr. Shinwell

Arrangements are being made to give the fullest possible assistance to county cadet forces by the Regular Army for the organisation of, and training in, camps this summer.

Sir R. Glyn

Will the right hon. Gentleman circulate that information to the Territorial associations at an early date, because arrangements are already being made?

Mr. Shinwell

I shall be very much surprised if we are not already in touch with the Territorial associations about our arrangements.

Air-Commodore Harvey

On a point of Order. Mention was made just now of Congleton Rural District Council, and hon. Members on the opposite side of the House inferred that it is in my constituency. May I make it clear that most of it is outside my constituency?
