HC Deb 06 May 1948 vol 450 cc1447-8
45. Mr. John Morrison

asked the Prime Minister if he will consider the award of a medal or star for those of the services who have seen service in Palestine since the end of the European War, 1945.

The Prime Minister (Mr. Attlee)

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Finchley (Captain Crowder) on 13th November last.

Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Moore

In view of the suitability of the motto worn by a distinguished Irish regiment—"Quis nos separabit"—"Who will separate us?"—for this suggested medal, will the right hon. Gentleman review his decision?
