§ Mr. YoungerI beg to move, in page 4, line 29, at the beginning, to insert:
(1) For the registration of electors there shall be electoral registration officers (in this Act referred to as 'registration officers').The purpose of this Amendment is to make clear that where the phrase "registration officer" is used in this Bill, as it has been used in past statutes, it refers only to electoral registration officers. It is considered necessary to insert these words to avoid confusion with registration officers of other kinds.
