asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give an assurance that, since the introduction of the Criminal Justice Bill, he has not changed the principles upon which he previously advised, or refrained from ad vising, the exercise by the Crown of the prerogative of mercy; and that he does not automatically advise reprieve from capital sentences.
