Mr. Vaneasked the President of the Board of Trade whether any representative of his Department visited the Export Exhibition in Munich in the autumn of 1947 to examine particulars of the several types of wooden houses on exhibition, with a view to seeing if they are suitable for erection in this country.
§ Mr. H. WilsonA representative of my Department visited the Export Exhibition in Munich, but not specifically with a view to examining the suitability of German prefabricated houses for erection in this country, which is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health. Particulars of the houses concerned were, however, passed to the responsible Department, but I understand that they were considered unsuitable.
