HC Deb 09 March 1948 vol 448 c995
19. Mr. McKie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what were the trading losses or profits for 1947 on the four farms owned and run by the Department of Agriculture for Scotland at Dunragit, Wigtownshire.

Mr. Woodburn

I regret that the final statement of the trading account for the year to November, 1947, has not been completed, but it is estimated that the profit will amount to approximately £3,400.

Mr. McKie

Is the Secretary of State aware that those interested in this matter will receive that information with very great pleasure, because there have been losses in previous years?

Mr. Woodburn

I think everybody has been satisfied by the progress from losses to profits since this Government took office.
