HC Deb 01 March 1948 vol 448 cc31-2
65. Mr. Driberg

asked the hon. Member for Walthamstow, West, as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, if he will cause the suggestion book in the Members' Dining Room to be rebound; and, if, in view of the historical interest of this book, containing entries by hon. Members since 1912, he will cause it, when full, to be preserved.

Mr. McEntee

Inquiries are being made as to the possibility of having the suggestion book rebound. The question of its preservation is to be considered by the Kitchen Committee at their next meeting, and I will send their decision in writing to my hon. Friend.

Mr. Thurtle

Can my hon. Friend say whether there is any suggestion of having this book placed in a glass case, and having a guard mounted over it?
