asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the Annual Report on Education in Scotland for the year 1947 will be published.

I hope that this Report will be published not later than the beginning of September.

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the report for 1946 was published so long ago as 16th April, 1947, and that it will be very inconvenient if no more up-to-date information is made available to Scottish Members before we reach the Scottish Estimates?
