Motion made, and Question proposed, That this day, notwithstanding anything in Standing Order No. 14, Business other than the Business of Supply may be taken before Ten o'clock."—[Mr. Whiteley.]

Mr. Oliver Stanley

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman what is the purpose of this Motion?

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Ede)

It is only in case - the Business in Committee of Supply should end before 10 o'clock so that the House can take another Order which is on the Paper.

Mr. Stanley

Only one Order?

Mr. Ede

Yes, Sir. It is a Prayer by a noble Friend of the right hon. Gentleman.

Question put and agreed to.
