HC Deb 06 July 1948 vol 453 cc207-8
71. Mr. Donner

asked the Minister of Health whether he has now been consulted by the Metropolitan Water Board on the proposed flooding of the Enborne Valley in order to create a reservoir; and if he will confer with the Minister of Town and Country Planning, the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Transport on the serious consequences involved.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. John Edwards)

My right hon. Friend has been consulted informally about the procedure the Board must follow if they decide to apply for powers under the water Acts. I can assure the hon. Member that there will be full consultation with my right hon. Friends if any such application is made to the Department.
