HC Deb 05 July 1948 vol 453 c16
29. Mr. Henry Nicholls

asked the Minister of Food if, in view of the increase in the present stocks and of the future prospects, he will consider a small increase in the tea ration to domestic consumers.

Mr. Strachey

I regret that no increase in the tea ration is possible at present.

Mr. Nicholls

Will the Minister consider issuing a bonus to mark some special occasion, say 5th July?

Mr. Strachey

When we have more supplies we will certainly issue them in one form or another.
