§ Mr. G. BrownThree thousand one hundred and eighty-seven acres of the Stanford battle area are now under cultivation, and I am circulating the separate acreage figures in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
§ Mr. DyeIn view of the high standard of cultivation by the farmers in this particular area, and the splendid prospects for the crops, will my hon. Friend see that at an early date they are given the chance to continue for next year the same kind of cultivation that they are doing for this year?
The acreages under the different crops are as follow:Oats, 130 acres; barley, 2,123 acres; rye, 517 acres; potatoes, 100 acres; lucerne, 90 acres; sugar beet, 127 acres; peas, 90 acres; and mustard, 10 acres.
