Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Agriculture how the total acreage now 27 farmed by county agricultural executive committees compares with the acreage farmed by them in 1945; and if he has recently reminded committees of the desirability of transferring such land to private occupation as opportunity occurs.
§ Mr. G. BrownThe total acreage farmed by committees was 190,374 acres on 31st May, 1948, compared with 232,514 acres on 30th June, 1945. Committees have recently been told that lands in possession should, where possible, be let.
