HC Deb 29 January 1948 vol 446 c1179
22. Mr. Hardy

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that many industries are desirous of assisting his export drive; and when he proposes to give facilities to Messrs. J. Wheedon and Sons, Salford, to export window frames and doors (softwood) which are so urgently required by other countries.

Mr. H. Wilson

Yes, Sir. Arrangements have now been made for releasing timber for the manufacture for export of softwood window frames and doors, and manufacturers, including Messrs. J. Wheeldon and Sons, were informed of this on 21st January.
