HC Deb 29 January 1948 vol 446 c1167
3. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Moore

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a further statement regarding the trade negotiations between His Majesty's Government and the Government of the Soviet Union.

Mr. H. Wilson

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Orpington (Sir W. Smithers) on 22nd January.

Sir T. Moore

As I have not the answer by me, would the right hon. Gentleman say whether anything has been received yet?

Mr. Wilson

No, but grain is being loaded, and a number of ships have been chartered to go from this country to pick up grain which will be available at the beginning of February.
