HC Deb 26 January 1948 vol 446 c651
79. Captain John Crowder

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware of the difficulty of obtaining shell eggs against emergency ration cards; and if he will take action to ease the difficulty.

Mr. Strachey

I realise that this is sometimes difficult. If the hon. Member knows of a particular case and will send me details, I will have inquiries made.

Captain Crowder

Would the Minister bear in mind that the difficulty arises particularly during the school holidays, when mothers have great difficulty in getting shell eggs for children at home for five or six weeks?

Mr. Strachey

I realise that is the difficulty.
