asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he will make public the full reasons for the increase in the price of coal.

Mr. Gaitskell

The reasons for the increase in coal prices which took effect from the 1st January this year have already been made public by the National Coal Board. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of the Board's announcement of 15th December, 1947.
