48. Mr. Lipson

asked the Minister of Labour if he will give an assurance that volunteer members of the Palestine Police Force who have 12 months or more completed service in Palestine, will, in view of the strain under which they have had to carry cut their duties there, be released from further National Service on the ending of the Mandate, and will not be transferred to the Army to complete the normal two years' service.
