Resolved: That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend the law relating to pensions and other similar payments to be made to and in respect of persons who have been in certain employment, and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, it is expedient—

  1. (A) to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—
    1. (i) of any sums required by rules made under the said Act to be so paid under those rules;
    2. (ii) of any sums required to be so paid by any order made under the Probation Officers (Superannuation) Act, 5947;
    3. (iii) of any increase attributable to the provisions of the said Act of the present Session or of any rules made thereunder in the sums which are so payable under any other statutory provision;
  2. (B) to authorise the payment into the Exchequer—
    1. (i) of any sums required by rules made under the said Act of the present Session to be so paid;
