§ 56. Mr. Skeffington-Lodgeasked the Minister of Fuel and Power to what extent the publication, sponsored by his 2118 Department, dealing in a factual and explanatory way with the basic petrol ban and petrol rationing generally, has been taken up by the public; and whether he will make a statement about its distribution.
§ Mr. GaitskellI understand that some 40,000 copies have been distributed to the principal agents of His Majesty's Stationery Office, and to certain bookstalls, but I am unable to say how many copies have been sold. Copies may be obtained from these agents and bookstalls, from the sales offices of His Majesty's Stationery Office and may be ordered through any newsagent or bookseller.
§ Mr. Skeffington-LodgeIs my right hon. Friend aware that a great many Members of this House have never seen any copies of this excellent publication, and would he arrange for a copy to be sent to each hon. Member, with details as to how it can be purchased for widespread distribution among constituents?
§ Mr. GaitskellI think it would be best if hon. Members who wish to have copies would let me know and I will forward copies to them.
