asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what instructions have been given to the official side of Whitley Councils as to the application of the principles laid down in the White Paper on personal incomes in negotiations over claims for wage increases by Government employees.

Claims for wage increases by Government employees will, of course, be dealt with in accordance with the principles laid down in the White Paper.
