§ 32. Mr. Douglas Marshallasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many coloured men are unemployed in Jamaica, Trinidad, Windward Islands and Leeward Islands, respectively.
§ Mr. Rees-WilliamsIn these Colonies there is more under-employment than total unemployment. Accurate figures for the latter are not available but the latest estimates are: Jamaica, 50,000; Leeward Islands, 10,000; Windward Islands, 2,000; Trinidad, 1,100. The Jamaican estimate includes under-employed. No separate statistics are kept of coloured unemployed.
