§ 22. Mr. Douglas Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that M.G. Ordinance number 88 is not being carried out and will he ensure that this ordinance and other ordinances of British Millitary Government shall be complied with by the population of the British zone of Germany; and whether he will give an assurance that those who disobey such ordinances will be 813 brought before a Military Government Court, irrespective of the position they may hold.
Mr. McNeilThis Ordinance has now been replaced by Military Government Ordinance 126, designed to remedy the defects of the previous ordinance. Compliance with Military Government ordinances is regularly enforced by the authorities concerned, in whatever manner is most appropriate.
