§ 28. Mr. Piratinasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is now in a position to make a statement in connection with the disposal of the Polish military welfare funds; if he will state the amount of the funds; and what sums have been allocated to those Poles who have returned to Poland.
§ Mr. ShinwellFurther difficulties have arisen in connection with these funds since my predecessor replied to a Question about them by the hon. Member on 29th July last. It is possible that they may be the subject of legal proceedings, and I regret, therefore, that I am not in a position to make a statement.
