§ The Lord President of the Council (Mr. Herbert Morrison)Until there has been practical experience of the model now in production, the question of improving the design does not arise, but the scientific committee concerned is already considering, proposals for new types of receiver and the possibility of other instruments for forms of deafness requiring special treatment.
§ Mr. ErrollAs the Government model is already out-of-date, as a result of research and development work by private firms on their instruments, cannot the right hon. Gentleman devise a better research policy in regard to this instrument?
