41. Mr. Vaneasked the Minister of Supply how he has disposed of the 20,000 vehicles handed to his Department in Germany by the War Office since June, 1947; and what plans he has for disposing of further vehicles from the same source.
§ Mr. G. R. StraussVehicles not needed locally by the Military Governor or for the German economy have been sold by competitive tender. Tanks and other fighting vehicles have been broken down and the scrap exported to this country. Future disposal will be on the same lines.
