§ 57. Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Minister of Works when he proposes to extend the present hours of opening of Richmond Park.
§ Mr. KeyThe gates of Richmond Park are open from dawn to dusk. There is no intention of altering the hours.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that the hours of opening before the war were very much 837 longer, and that it would be a considerable improvement to the amenities of the district if later hours than at present could be allowed.
§ Mr. KeyUnder existing conditions, we feel it is much better for the safety of the general public that the park should be closed as at present rather than be left open.
