Motion made, and Question proposed, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to abolish the Railway and Canal Commission and make provision for the future exercise and performance of their functions; to amend and repeal certain enactments relating to their functions; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of pensions to or in respect of persons who suffer loss of employment in consequence of the abolition of the said Commission."—[Mr. J.
