§ 7. Sir John Mellorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to what extent the recommendations of the International Convention for the Regulation of Whaling, to which S.I., 1948, No. 2504, gives effect, have been implemented by the other Governments who were parties to the Convention.
§ Mr. MayhewThe provisions of the Convention are fully applicable to all Governments which have ratified it. The details of legislation passed in each of the countries concerned are not yet known, but we have no reason to suppose that the provisions of the Convention will not be carried out on the whaling grounds when the Antarctic Season opens on 15th December, 1948.
