HC Deb 01 December 1948 vol 458 cc1998-9
36. Mr. Skeffington

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies why the establishment of a primary school at Boramo, British Somaliland, has been postponed for four years, although already scheduled,

Mr. Creech Jones

The construction of this school has not been postponed for four years. Owing to the shortage of staff and materials and the need for other buildings some postponement is necessary but I hope that these difficulties may shortly be overcome and that it will be possible to make a start some time next year.
