§ 53. Sir Arthur Salterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will arrange that such of the remaining Polish assets in this country as are claimed by the Polish Government are used for part 211 settlement of the claims upon that Government in respect of its financial indebtedness or compensation for industries and other British property nationalised in Poland.
§ Sir A. SalterWill the Minister watch the settlement of financial indebtedness between Poland and ourselves with a view to stopping what is at present an almost entirely one-track flow of money, which we really cannot afford?
§ Mr. JayI cannot agree that it is a wholly one-track flow, but I will bear in mind the point raised by the right hon. Gentleman.
