HC Deb 22 April 1948 vol 449 c2000
53. Mr. George Thomas

asked the Minister of Labour whether he has considered written representations from the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association concerning a review of the present method of registration of disabled persons and of the present quota; and what reply he has sent.

The Minister of Labour (Mr. Isaacs)

I have not recently received any representations from this Association.

Mr. Thomas

Is my right hon. Friend aware that if he has not received them, they are on the way? Further, is he aware that 23 per cent. of the unemployed in Wales are disabled persons as compared with 5 per cent. of the unemployed for the rest of the United Kingdom, and will he, therefore, regard this question as one of special urgency for Wales?

Mr. Isaacs

The hon. Member's Question related to representations received. He says that they are on the way. Possibly they have taken the wrong turning.
