§ 36. Wing-Commander Millingtonasked the Secretary of State for War whether rubber truncheons are part of the normal equipment of interrogating officers of the British Army in Germany; and how many have been issued since the end of the war.
§ Mr. ShinwellRubber truncheons are not now an authorised issue. Some were, however, issued to 21 Army Group before the end of the war. Some of these may still be in use. I have, however, given instructions for them to be withdrawn.
