§ 21. Dr. Haden Guestasked the Minister of Pensions what was the number of claims made for pension and allowed for pension, respectively, by members of His Majesty's Forces in 1947, showing the number made on account of disease and injury separately.
§ Mr. BuchananApproximately 61,300 claims in respect of disease and 19,10o in respect of injury were settled in 1947. The numbers allowed were about 49,500 and 18,000 respectively.

§ Mr. BuchananThere were 303 claims in respect of cancer and 299 for diabetes. Leukemia is included with other blood diseases in a group for which the total number of claims was 88. If the hon. Member will let me know what other diseases he particularly has in mind as being classed as constitutional, I will endeavour to give him the information he desires
