HC Deb 15 April 1948 vol 449 c1159
43. Mr. Swingler

asked the Minister of Health what progress has been made in the conversion of hutted accommodation in Aqualate Park in the rural district of Stafford for emergency housing; how many families will be accommodated in these dwellings; and when they will be ready for occupation.

Mr. Bevan

Plans to convert the first 26 huts at this camp have been approved, and tenders are to be invited. The whole camp should provide accommodation for go families, and the first huts should be ready for occupation within three months of the acceptance of tenders.
