asked the Minister of Food whether he is aware of the shortage of sardines in the shops; and what prospects are there of remedying this at any early date.

know there has been a shortage recently. As the result of further purchases a substantial quantity has been released for the current rationing period. These supplies are now in the shops and a further large release will be made in two months' time.
