§ Mr. WoodburnThe special programmes of miners' houses, which have been arranged in consultation with the National Coal Board, are intended for pit workers directly engaged in the production of coal. It is open to the local authority of a mining area to give special consideration, within their general housing programme, to the claims of the transport workers to which the hon. Member refers.
