HC Deb 12 April 1948 vol 449 c613
50. Mr. Skeffington-Lodge

asked the Minister of Agriculture to what extent his Department makes use of the services of county crop intelligence committees; and whether he is satisfied that these bodies are functioning effectively throughout the country.

Mr. T. Williams

I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the county horticultural crop intelligence committees, which operate in all the main horticultural districts. These committees have been organised by my Department, which makes regular use of their effective and valuable services.

Mr. Tolley

Is my right hon. Friend satisfied that the best use is made of the work of these committees?

Mr. Williams

Most certainly.
