HC Deb 28 October 1947 vol 443 c669
4. Major Bruce

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is aware that the Limb Fitting Centre at Portsmouth is in urgent need of renovation, improvement and extension; and whether he will state the nature and extent of any improvements contemplated or any proposals for the acquisition of alternative premises.

Mr. Blenkinsop

The hon. and gallant Member will be pleased to learn that work has already started on the erection of a hut adjacent to the regional office premises at 77, Elm Grove. The hut will be specially adapted for use as a limb fitting centre, and it is anticipated that it will be ready for occupation early in the New Year.
