HC Deb 19 November 1947 vol 444 c1116
4. Sir Waldron Smithers

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will take immediate steps at the meetings of U.N.O. to insist on full reciprocity of travel, freedom of movement, Press, and conscience within the territories of the member States.

Mr. Mayhew

His Majesty's Government are already actively supporting measures to achieve these ends through United Nations' machinery.

Sir W. Smithers

Will the hon Gentleman seize every opportunity of enforcing reciprocity, and of exposing the danger from Communist infiltration?
