asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the annual overhead costs of housing administration by Government Departments and their regional offices.

Can the right hon. and learned Gentleman say whether the steps being taken by the Government to reduce the number of houses built will increase or reduce the cost of housing administration by the Government?
