HC Deb 17 November 1947 vol 444 cc812-3
76. Mr. Hoy

asked the Minister of Works if he will state the total deliveries of cement to Scotland for August, September and October; and what proportion was allocated to works in connection with the North of Scotland hydro-electric developments.

Mr. Key

The total deliveries of cement to Scotland for August, September and October, were respectively—39,869 tons, 38,266 tons and 42,037 tons. These figures exclude the cement manufactured in Scotland. I have no separate record of the amounts supplied for North of Scotland hydro-electric developments.

Mr. Hoy

Can the Minister say how these deliveries compare with the deliveries for the prevous quarter?

Mr. Key

I think that they are rather an improvement on the previous quarter's deliveries
