HC Deb 13 November 1947 vol 444 c547
49. Colonel J. R. H. Hutchison

asked the Minister of Labour when the report of the Fact Finding Committee set up to examine the dispute at the Grimethorpe Colliery will be made available.

The Minister of Labour (Mr. Isaacs)

I understand that the report has already been made available to the parties concerned, but that a wider circulation is not proposed.

Colonel Hutchison

In view of the general interest in this question which has disturbed the country, would not it be an advantage to know what that report says?

Mr. Isaacs

I know that a lot of people are very anxious to know what has taken place, but this was an inquiry made by an organisation on its own initiative, and I have no authority to say to them that they shall publish it.
