HC Deb 06 November 1947 vol 443 c1981
16. Lieut.-Colonel Corbett

asked the President of the Board of Trade what quantities of silk stockings have been imported from the Argentine; and at what cost.

Mr. H. Wilson

Apart from passengers' baggage, the only imports during the first nine months of this year have been 125 dozen pairs valued at £1,097 against import licences issued on compassionate grounds to a British subject returning to this country. No payment of foreign exchange was involved.
