HC Deb 06 November 1947 vol 443 c1983
22. Colonel Stoddart-Scott

asked the President of the Board of Trade how much ice cream manufacturing machinery has been imported to this country from the United States of America during the year ending 30th June, 1947; and to how many firms were import licences granted during this period.

Mr. Wilson

No information as to actual imports is available, as ice cream manufacturing machinery is not separately distinguished in the Trade Accounts. Import licences for this class of machinery from the U.S.A. were granted to three firms during the 12 months ended June last, to a total value of £5,330.
