HC Deb 15 May 1947 vol 437 c1680
6. Major Mott-Radclyffe

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that Messrs. Laceys (Hounslow), Ltd., who obtained a contract with the Easthampstead Rural District Council to build 16 permanent houses in Binfield Road, Bracknell, and 22 permanent houses at Skimped Hill, Bracknell, the former due by contract for completion on 11th December, 1946, and the latter by 30th June, 1947, have, up to date, roofed six houses at Binfield Road and completed the damp course for three at Skimped Hill; and what he intends doing to improve this rate of progress.

Mr. Bevan

Yes, Sir. All possible steps are being taken to improve the position. The labour force on the Binfield Road site should now be sufficient to secure satisfactory progress; that on the Skimped Hill site is still inadequate, but men will be transferred from the other site in due course.
