§ Mr. StracheyThe aim is to give members of His Majesty's Forces civilian rations, as nearly as possible, when on leave. By agreement with the Services Departments, two kinds of ration cards are used: one, for periods of four to seven days giving a full week's rations and one for two or three days, giving approximately 3½ days' supply of the foods rationed on a weekly basis.
