§ Sir W. SmithersIs it not a fact that there is no restriction now on the movement of money between the Channel Islands and the United Kingdom and, if that is so, why is there this long delay in restoring the money order facilities?
§ Mr. BurkeThe delay arises from regulations in the Channel Islands regarding the movement of currency. The warrant is ready and will be signed in a day or two, and once it has been laid before Parliament it will be a matter of only about a fortnight.
