§ Mr. ShinwellThe Council was appointed by my predecessor in August, 1944, and made a report on the subject of domestic heating in 1946. I then intimated to them that in view of the changed situation and requirements arising out of the Government's policy of nationalising the fuel industries, I did not feel that it was necessary to keep the Council in being, and it was accordingly disbanded.
